Actress divorcing husband

Many important financial issues can arise in connection to a divorce. One financial issue that can come up in relation to a divorce is the issue of spousal support. This can be seen in a celebrity divorce case that has recently arisen.

The case involves the actress Lyndsy Fonseca. Fonseca, 26, has played roles in several movies and television programs, including the television shows "Nikita" and "Desperate Housewives." It has recently been reported that Fonseca is divorcing her husband.

Fonseca and her husband got married in 2009. In July 2012, the couple separated.

Reportedly, Fonseca recently filed a petition for a divorce. In this divorce filing, "irreconcilable differences" were cited. Fonseca filed this divorce petition in a court in California.

Fonseca has made a spousal support-related request in her divorce petition. Specifically, she has asked that her husband not be granted spousal support. The article on TV Guide's website which reported this story did not mention if it is yet known whether or not Fonseca's husband is expected to contest this request.

As this case illustrates, spousal support issues sometimes arise in connection to a divorce. Such issues can have many complicated aspects and what resolutions are ultimately reached in regards to such issues can be very impactful. Sometimes, divorcing couples resolve spousal support issues amicably through settlement agreements. Other times, such issues lead to legal disputes between divorcing parties.

One wonders what will ultimately happen in regards to the issue of spousal support in the divorce between Fonseca and her husband.
